OEF Hazratpur develops drone will serve as an air ambulance for the army, know all about it.

A new drone has been developed using innovative technology by the weapon manufacturing unit located in Hazratpur, Firozabad. This drone will aid injured soldiers during wartime and will be capable of carrying goods through mountainous terrain and strong winds. It can also fly in the Himalayan region. Its capacity exceeds that of other drones by several times and it proves to be nothing less than a blessing for soldiers. Currently, the drone is undergoing trials.

The General Manager of the OEF Hazratpur, Amit Kumar Singh, stated that India has taken another step towards self-reliance in the defense sector. The development of the drone named Airawat by Firozabad's manufacturing unit is capable of flying in any environment. Not only can it fly in jungles, but also in the Himalayan mountains with ease. This drone is considered more useful for snowy areas. Even in adverse weather conditions, this drone can fly up to 18,000 feet in an hour. Speaking of plain areas, it can cover a distance of up to 10 kilometers. The drone is capable of carrying a weight of up to 200 kg.

General Manager Amit Singh explained that the purpose of developing this drone is to provide medical facilities to soldiers in emergency situations. This drone is especially designed for extremely high altitude and rugged areas, so that medical assistance can be provided on time. The special thing is that it has been developed with the help of indigenous components. This drone, weighing 200KG, can fly up to 18,000 feet in an hour even in adverse weather conditions. The total cost of this drone is 6.5 million rupees. Twenty Airawat-I drones have been ordered bythe army.
